About
Colchicum 'Giant' is a sturdy perennial that grows to about 20 cm in height. It features semi-erect leaves that are narrowly ovate and measure between 18 to 25 cm long, appearing from winter through spring. In the autumn, it produces a series of up to five goblet-shaped flowers, reaching lengths of up to 8 cm. These flowers display lightly patterned tepals, predominantly purple-violet with white bases. Colchicums serve as an important late-season pollen source for honeybees.
