About

This compact conifer features elongated, flexible branches covered in flattened, green scales. When planted in the ground, it develops a broad mound shape, reaching heights of up to 1 meter, with a level top. In containers or on slopes, its branches can cascade over the sides.

About the genus

Chamaecyparis consists of evergreen trees that typically exhibit a narrow ovoid or columnar shape. They feature densely branched sprays of diminutive scale-like foliage and produce small, rounded cones. In certain cultivars, the tiny red male cones are particularly noticeable.
