About
Cathcartia chelidoniifolia is a deciduous perennial that produces nodding flowers resembling poppies, with a primrose-yellow hue, measuring 2-3 cm (1-1.5 in) across, during the mid to late summer months. The plant features slender, branching stems that can reach heights of up to 1 m (3 ft) and are adorned with lobed, softly hairy leaves that are pale green in color.

Care notes
- Cultivation
- Grow in light or dappled shade on fertile, neutral to slightly acidic soils that retain mosture in summer. Prefers a sheltered position, protected from cold drying winds.
- Pruning
- No pruning required. Removed withered stems in autumn/winter
- Propagation
- Propagate in spring by seed sown thinly on to the surface of peat-free seed compost and keep moist. Light is required for germination. Alternatively, propagate by offset buds that form in the upper leaf joints, as they appear. See Propagate from cuttings (climbers)
