About

Carex morrowii Boott 'Everglow' PBR (EverColor Series) is a clump-forming, evergreen sedge that typically reaches a height of around 60 cm. Its slender, finely pointed leaves are dark green, displaying vibrant orange edges during late summer to early autumn, which transition to bronze in winter and eventually fade to cream in spring and summer. In late spring, it produces panicles of green and brown flower spikes on stems that rise about 45 cm above the foliage.

About the genus

These perennials feature triangular stems topped with linear or strap-like foliage, and they produce spikes that can be either short or elongated, adorned with small green or brown flowers.
