About

Buddleja longiflora is a deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub characterized by its upright to arching growth habit and elongated, lanceolate leaves that are a rich green. The young stems and foliage are coated in a silvery-grey fuzz, which persists on the underside of older leaves. During the summer months, it produces drooping clusters of elongated, tubular flowers that are orange with flared ends, emerging from the tips of the branches.

About the genus

Buddleja comprises evergreen and deciduous shrubs, and in some cases, it can also be found as small trees or scrambling climbers. The foliage consists of simple leaves, and the plants produce clusters of small, tubular flowers that emit a pleasant fragrance.
