About

Bauhinia yunnanensis is a semi-evergreen shrub that can reach heights of approximately 4 meters. Its growth habit is spreading and scrambling, facilitated by twining tendrils that wrap around slender stems. The leaves are rounded and mid- to pale green, exhibiting a copper hue when young, and are characterized by their distinctive two-lobed shape. In summer, it produces clusters of flowers measuring up to 5 cm across. These blooms resemble orchids, featuring five pale pink petals, with the upper three adorned with purple veining.
