About
This species matures at a gradual pace, reaching heights of 15 meters or more. Its elongated branches are adorned with ovate leaves measuring up to 6 millimeters in length. When fully developed, the cones can reach a length of 2.5 centimeters.
About the genus
Athrotaxis are perennial coniferous trees characterized by their reddish-brown, fibrous bark and tiny, scale-like leaves that grow in a spiral pattern along the branches. The small green cones develop over two years, maturing to a muted orange hue.
