Asterotrichion discolor is a sizable, upright shrub or diminutive tree characterized by its narrow, oval, evergreen leaves, which are adorned with a covering of silvery-grey, felted hairs on their undersides, as well as on the young shoots and buds. In late autumn, this plant produces clusters of small, fragrant white flowers.
