Aster amellus 'Paul Picton' is a perennial that grows in clumps, reaching heights of up to 60 cm. Its growth habit can be either upright or arching, featuring lance-shaped leaves that are dark green and stems that range from dark green to purple. From late summer through autumn, it produces loose clusters of lavender-blue flower heads that transition to purple-blue with yellow centers. This variety is resistant to mildew.
