About

Aster ageratoides is a clump-forming, hardy perennial growing to around 75�90 cm tall, with rich-green, toothed, lance-shaped leaves and clusters of dark-violet daisy-like flowers with yellow centres on strong, upright stems, flowering over a long period from early autumn to late autumn or early winter. An excellent and reliable late-season border perennial.

Aster, the Michaelmas daisies, are perennials, annuals and sub-shrubs, mostly with narrow leaves and solitary or clustered, daisy-like flowerheads with ray florets in white, pink, lilac or purple and yellow disc florets. Many flower in late summer and autumn, providing vital late-season colour and nectar.
