About
Asclepias incarnata 'Soulmate' is a robust perennial that typically reaches heights of approximately 90 cm. It features slender, lanceolate leaves that are a deep green. From July to September, it produces clusters of small, fragrant flowers in a dark rose-pink hue with white centers, all held aloft on strong stems. After flowering, the plant develops seed pods that burst open to reveal silky-haired seeds. This variety is an excellent option for floral arrangements.
About the genus
Asclepias consists of either evergreen or deciduous perennials and subshrubs. They feature simple, entire leaves and bear clusters of small flowers that have a unique shape, arranged in an umbel formation. After flowering, they produce paired fruits that contain seeds enveloped in silky fibers.
