This evergreen perennial develops a dense clump of lanceolate leaves that can reach up to 20 cm in length. During the summer months, it produces spherical flowerheads, approximately 4 cm in diameter, that are pinkish-red in color and supported by sturdy stems that grow to about 35 cm tall. It is suitable for use as a cut flower.
