In summer, the plant produces a flower characterized by a slender, striped spathe that is white and purple, measuring up to 20 centimeters in height. This spathe is distinguished by a lengthy tail and is accompanied by a prominent purple spadix.
About the genus
Arisaema consists primarily of tuberous perennials characterized by palmately lobed foliage. They feature unique tubular, hooded spathes that enclose small true flowers clustered at the base of a club-shaped or filamentous spadix. After flowering, these plants produce a spike bearing red berries.
