Anthyllis vulneraria var. coccinea is a low-growing annual or short-lived perennial, reaching heights of up to 60 cm. It forms a compact mound of soft, silvery-green, feathery leaves. From late spring into summer, this plant produces clusters of bright red flowers that resemble those of peas. It has the ability to self-seed naturally.
