Anisodontea capensis, commonly known as African Rose Rufaro from the African Rose Series, is a robust, bushy sub-shrub that can reach approximately 80 cm in height. The plant features hairy stems and deeply lobed, textured dark green leaves. During the summer months, it produces abundant hibiscus-like flowers in a dark pink hue, accented by darker veining.

Anisodontea are persistent, woody perennials and shrubs characterized by either simple or palmately-lobed foliage. They produce five-petaled, saucer-shaped blooms that emerge in the leaf axils, blooming extensively from summer through autumn.

- May survive outdoors in a sunny, sheltered spot in mild areas but normally grown in a cool greenhouse for summer bedding or as a patio plant. Needs good drainage and full sun
