About
Anisodontea capensis, commonly known as African Rose Marshmallow from the African Rose Series, is a bushy, upright sub-shrub that can reach heights of approximately 80 cm. Its stems are covered in fine hairs, and the leaves are lobed, hairy, and a rich dark green. Throughout the summer months, it produces numerous pale pink flowers resembling hibiscus, each adorned with darker veining.
About the genus
Anisodontea are persistent, woody perennials and shrubs characterized by either simple or palmately-lobed foliage. They produce five-petaled, saucer-shaped blooms that emerge in the leaf axils, blooming extensively from summer through autumn.

- Cultivation
- May survive outdoors in a sunny, sheltered spot in mild areas but normally grown in a cool greenhouse for summer bedding or as a patio plant. Needs good drainage and full sun
