About
Amelanchier x grandiflora 'Rubescens' is a multi-stemmed tree or shrub that can reach heights of up to 8 meters. It features smooth, light grey bark and ovate leaves that can grow as long as 8 centimeters. In early spring, the leaves emerge in a bronze hue, shift to green by late spring, and transition to shades of orange and red in the fall. In mid-spring, clusters of dark pink buds bloom into pale blush-pink flowers. By late summer, these flowers give way to edible blue-black berries.
