About
Amelanchier ovalis 'Edelweiss' is an upright shrub that can reach heights of 4 meters. It features rounded, oval leaves that start off covered in a white, furry texture before maturing to a smooth, dark green appearance. In autumn, the foliage transitions to shades of red, orange, and yellow. In spring, the plant produces numerous upright clusters of white flowers, each measuring up to 4 centimeters in diameter. These blooms are succeeded by round, edible fruits that ripen from red to a dark blue-black in summer.
