Alyogyne hakeifolia is a fast-growing evergreen shrub that typically reaches heights of about 3 meters. It has an open growth form and features dense, needle-like leaves in a deep green hue. From May to September, it produces funnel-shaped flowers that can be blue-purple or creamy-yellow, each with five prominent petals and dark red centers. This species is also drought tolerant.
