About
Agave kerchovei 'Huajuapan Red' is a perennial succulent that grows slowly, developing a compact rosette of elongated, sword-like leaves. These fleshy green leaves are characterized by their sharp spines along the edges and tips. In bright, arid environments, the foliage takes on a deep red hue.
About the genus
Agave consists of either perennial or monocarpic succulents that develop rosettes of typically stiff, thick, spiny leaves. The plants produce funnel-shaped flowers in racemes or panicles that often exceed the height of the rosettes.
