Aeonium canariense var. subplanum is a succulent that typically reaches a height of about 30 cm. It develops cupped rosettes composed of smooth, light green leaves, which may exhibit a pink hue under dry or cooler conditions. In spring, it can produce a flower spike that rises from the center of the rosette, bearing pale yellow blooms. After flowering, the original rosette will perish, but it will have generated offsets at its base for continued growth.

Grow under glass in a standard cactus compost, in bright, filtered light. grow outdoors in summer or very mild coastal locations.
