About

Abies sachalinensis is a tall evergreen conifer that can reach heights of up to 30 meters under ideal conditions. This species features a broad pyramidal shape and possesses dark green, needle-like leaves. The young seed cones are purple-brown, growing to lengths of 5 to 8 centimeters before turning dark brown as they mature.
