- Cultivation
- Grow in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in a sunny location. Protect from hard frosts
- Pruning
- Thin in early to mid-spring and remove dead or damaged branches all year round. Shrubs will tolerate tougher rejuvination in spring, but will not flower that year. See pruning group 10

- Propagate by sowing seeds in spring to early summer or by stem cuttings late spring to early summer
